The Bucas Buzz-Off Zebra Rain sheet is the new fly rug from Bucas that solves the potential problem of what to put on your horse when you want fly protection but there is a chance of rain. Our English weather means that it is not unusual for us to have warm and wet days, which is why Bucas have combined the features of the Buzz-off Zebra fly sheets and Sun Shower light weight turnout to create the Buzz-off Zebra Rain. The upper part of the rug is waterproof and breathable while the lower part is made of Buzz-off fly sheet fabric. Additional features include:

• The overlapping, padded and lined front provides superb comfort and protection.
• Waterproof and breathable upper with an additional Teflon outer shield.
• Mesh lining on the upper part of the rug help maintain the circulation of air underneath the rug.
• The innovative elasticated and detachable belly pad ensures that the rug is kept in place, as well as offering protection.
• Shoulder darts ensure an excellent fit and plenty of shoulder room.
• Soft nylon shoulder lining to prevent rubbing.
• Tail flap for additional protection

Lisa’s notes: I’m a great fan of Bucas rugs as I’ve used them for years and the quality and cut is fantastic. When it comes to horse rugs, you really do get what you pay for and these are extremely durable and fit most horses very well. Living in the South-West, I love this rug as we invariably get sunshine and showers and this rug is a godsend. The mesh is very fine and also soft unlike some fly rugs which are rather plastic and hard. The upper part of the rug is great for keeping your horse that bit drier from showers  though it’s important to realise that this rug is not designed to take the place of a full on waterproof turnout rug! They are of a good depth and you can wash them and have them back on your horse in no time. The zebra print helps to keep the flies at bay as scientific trials have shown they are rather confused by stripes and as a result tend to steer away.
